All TNJSF Activities: STEM Building
The Atrium (first floor) is available for parents, advisors, and the public during the entire event.
Friday, March 24, 2023
3:00 - 6:00 p.m. Project setup and safety reviews. Food service available in the nearby restaurants.
After students check in at entrance, get their nametags, and go to their exhibit area to set up projects.
  • Categories BE, EN, and PH will be in Room 306. Categories CS and MA will be in Room 307.
  • All others will be on the 6th floor.
  • After setting up your projectd, go to the staff area (beside elevator on 6th floor, and in Room 308 on 3rd floor) to start your review process.
  • Once the project is approved, take your SIGNED approval form to the 6th floor staff area to get your Entry Certificate and T-shirt.
  • After your signed approval form is turned in, your registration is complete.
6:30 - 7:00 p.m. Judges' briefing in judges' room.
7:00 - 9:30 p.m. Category judging. STUDENTS AT PROJECTS!!
Advisors and parents are not allowed in exhibition area.
9:30 - 10:00 p.m. Judges' conference in judge's room to determine category award winners.

9:00 - 9:30 a.m. Students arrive at projects for judging at 9:30 a.m.
Judges' briefing in judges' room.
9:30 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. Judging for special awards and ISEF Trip Award finalists. STUDENTS AT PROJECTS!!
Advisors and parents are not allowed in exhibition area.
10:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m. Advisor meeting in STEM room 401 (parents are welcome as well)
10:00-10:30 Ken Lyons and Matt Toth will discuss SRC procedures and answer questions.
10:30-11:00 Talk by Jim Danch, discussing the challenges of directing student research.
12:15 p.m. ISEF Trip Award Finalists announced.
Finalist list posted on the information screens in the exhibit hall, and on the tnjsf.org website.
12:00 p.m. - 1:30 p.m. Lunch break for students.
Food service available in area restaurants. A list will be available at registration.
Judges' conference to evaluate projects and determine special award winners.
Finalists will be instructed to move projects to the Finalist judging room.
1:30 - 3:00 p.m. ISEF Trip Award judging. Finalists will be scheduled for interviews and must be at their projects this entire time.
1:30 - 3:30 p.m. Exhibits open to the publiv.
  • 1:30-2:15 p.m. -- Students on EVEN numbered projects at their projects.
  • 2:15-3:00 == Students oj ODD numbered projects at their projects.
3:30 - 5:30 p.m. Afternoon break. Note: food service is available in surrounding area.
5:30 - 7:00 p.m. Awards Ceremony. Entrance level Auditorium: Open to the public.
Venue will open at 5:15 p.m.
7:00 - 7:30 p.m. Projects removed. Please dismantle your exhibit as quickly as possible after 7:00 p.m.
NOTE that projects not removed during this time may be discarded.
Projects are not to be removed early. Doing so may result in disqualification of your entry.
