Project Display Requirements

Be sure that your display follows the display regulations detailed in the Display and Safety Review Form.

Your exhibit should NOT display your age, school, or grade during judging. We also prohibit display or discussion of awards previously received while judging is in progress.

Your display board must have a 4"x6" blank space in the upper left corner of the center panel for your safety clearance tag.

Background work that was published or done by others (e.g. the mentor) should be clearly labeled in the background section of the poster as "Published data (full citation)" or "Background work done by others on research team", respectively.
The label should appear in a separate line below the caption with the same font size as the caption. A footnote is NOT acceptable.

Make sure you have filled out the Supplemental Registration Form on the website.
Continuation projects

Any work done in a prior year should be presented in the background section ONLY and clearly labeled as prior work.

Including prior work outside of the background section of the display is grounds for disqualification.
Work performed outside of school or home

A clear label must appear below the Title of the project if work was performed outside of your school or home.
The label should state "Work performed at a _______ laboratory", with either University, Industry, or Independent filled in the blank (whichever is appropriate).

For data obtained by others (e.g. the mentor), the graph/table/picture must be clearly labeled "Data taken by others on research team".

Projects that require power

Bring a 9-foot grounded extension cord if your project requires electricity. You will have ONE outlet available for your use, PROVIDING YOU HAVE NOTIFIED US ON YOUR ENTRY FORM.
