North Jersey Regional Science Fair -- 2010
The NJRSF for 2010 was held on the New Brunswick campus of
Rutgers University, March 19-20, 2010.
Team Projects will go to ISEF this year
Beginning with the 2010 fair, the NJRSF has announced that team projects will be explicitly
included in the projects selected to attend ISEF. This change stems from a major grant to the
science fair as part of the Netflix Award contributions
announced by AT&T Labs on Nov 5. This year, and going forward, we will be planning to send two individual projects
from each division of the fair (Junior and Senior Divisions),
and at least one team project. The team judges will decide whether the number of team projects warrants
sending two projects to ISEF--and if so, we will send one from each division of the fair.
The final judging of the team projects for ISEF selection will be carried out separately from
that of the individual projects, and teams will not participate in the finalist symposium.
Important Dates:
- Dec. 1, 2009 -- Precertification of all projects that fall under ISEF
certification rules.
- Feb 5, 2010
-- Entry deadline.
When you complete the entry process,
you will receive a coversheet to use in submitting your ISEF forms and entry fee,
which should be received by this deadline.
Note that if your project falls under the rule above, that means you must enter prior to Dec. 1.
- Mar. 5, 2010 --
If applicable to your project, Form 1C must be submitted by this date,
if you are unable to submit it with your other forms due in early Feb
or on Dec. 1.
Note that the Form 1C is not required for pre-certification.
- Mar. 8, 2010 -- Abstract deadline. Your abstract must be submitted
by this date.
The abstracts are to be
submitted electronically.

Please note that you are to submit the *text* of your abstract. No other format is accepted.
- March 15, 2010 -- Withdrawal deadline. Withdrawal after this date
will entail loss of your entry fee.

Final Fair Information Packet
- The final information packet for the fair is now ready for distribution. This
contains maps, the schedule, and final instructions for students, parents, and advisors.
