Sponsorship of ISEF Trips

In the first 25 years of the NJRSF, we only sent individual projects to ISEF. In 2009, we received a grant pursuant to the Netflix Award, won by two researchers at AT&T Labs, who decided to designate part of the award to the fair. Those funds were used to sponsor trips to ISEF for team projects, for the next 4 years. Since then, we have continued to send one team to ISEF, despite not having specific sponsorship. In 2016, we decided to combine the teams with the individual competition, with the limit that we will send a maximum of one team team to ISEF. For 2017 there is also a restriction excluding 3-member teams. We also reserve one of the ISEF trips for a project in grades 9-10.

The sponsorship of these awards currently stems from partial support by Dun & Bradstreet and from funding from general NJRSF funds. We are continuing to seek specific support for the remainder of these awards.
